Family friendly vintage guest house in Old Bangkok
Great hotel

We stayed here twice. The service is unfailingly welcoming and helpful. The rooms are quirky and fun and the facilities just make everything easy. We began and finished our holiday here and it was just ideal. Nothing was too much trouble and we recommend this hotel unreservedly.
Do make sure you spray with the free anti insect spray as it is easy to get bitten given the greenery and water that make the public space a tranquil place to eat and relax.
Although it is quite hard to find - the map helps enormously - we thought it was located in a good place and we used the water taxi to get down to the sights
the perfect place to stay in Bangkok

We had such a lovely stay at Phranakorn Nornlen, Pretty, quirky, friendly, great location, great for children, very clean, lovely people. We tried 3 rooms, interconnected and 2 triple rooms, I think they market these as twin, but there is a big bed and a single bed, easily big enough for mum, dad and our 2 children. The location is great, Khao San Rd is within walking distance, or around 40 Baht in a taxi, the ferry stop is not far either, to take you to the Grand Palace or whatever. Very easy to walk to the end of the road and pick up a taxi or tuk tuk, and yes, a family of 4 does fit in a tuk tuk, to take you anywhere you like. Taxis are extremely good value. We didn't use the monorail thing at all, didn't need to. Dusit zoo is nearby and a brilliant trip to do with children, they absolutely loved being almost run over by a baby elephant! We chose this place rather than some swanky hotel as we wanted to give the kids a real taste of Thailand, not a characterless box, it was a great choice! We will stay here whenever we are in Bangkok again, which I hope will be soon. Oh, you can very easily get a taxi from the airport to PN, just print the map to take with you, cost us under 400 Baht. We had no real problems with drivers not knowing where it is. My only criticism..the coffee was a bit weak, I need waking up in the morning! Thank you PN people!
Phra-Nakorn Nom-Len Hotel is the best
by PN guests :) on 03/16/12This was a return trip for my family to Phra-Nakorn and we have always loved the wonderful staff and neat accommodations. The entire facility is just great. When ever I stay in downtown Bangkok is will be here.
Amazing staff!

We had a wonderful stay at PN and it was a great little refuge from the busy and HOT streets of Bangkok. The breakfast was great and other food was good too although the menu could stand to have a few more things on it. The staff and especially Zine were just amazing and we felt so welcome and at home thanks to them. The rooms and decor are funky and our room had a view of the big Buddha a few blocks away from the hotel. Our only suggestion to the hotel is that they eliminate the standing water from the courtyard or treat the property daily to eliminate the mosquitos. Although they have a great spray to use for mosquitos the standing water in the courtyard is a breeding ground for them and we got more mosquito bites during our 3 days at PN than we did in the rest of our 3 weeks in SouthEast Asia combined. Nevertheless, we would still recommend this hotel to people and families traveling to Bangkok.
