You could almost forget you were in Bangkokby PN guests :) on 08/22/13
Booked this place after reviews on trip advisor and was not disappointed. The communal areas were very child friendly and relaxing. There tended to be a lot of children around very late as it was not the kind of set up where you could sit outside your room on a terrace and enjoy a beer while the kids are asleep. In fact the hotel was much larger than expected and if busy you would find it hard to find anywhere to sit and eat.
Still after being in dusty dirty humid Bangkok all day this place was lovely to return to, excellent value and more real Thai than an impersonal hotel chain in Sukumvit.
The breakfasts were delicious and novel at first but we did end up having the eggs and pancakes alternatives eventually as there is only so much rice one can eat in a day. Unfortunately breakfasts were not very child friendly and after a few days of trying to convince ourselves that our 2 year old would just have to adapt, we caved in and brought cereal and yoghurt from the seven eleven on the corner!
As a pair of teachers who have backpacked around in the days before children this place suited us well but if you love the creature comforts of travertine bathrooms this is not the place for you.
