If you're looking for a nice place to stay in Bangkok, or searching for a Bangkok Boutique Hotel, there are so many choices that it may be hard for you to decide among them. If your focus is not big chain hotels, but smaller, charming, vintage, kids friendly or “green” hotels that offer unique decor, delicious breakfast and attentive services, as well as a good value, Phranakorn Nornlen is an option you should consider. We are a small hotel situated within the Old Bangkok district, near the Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha, Khaosan Road, China Town and the river shuttle stop at Thewet Pier.

Rooms OK, child friendly, great environment and wonderful food!

by PN guests :) on 02/27/13

We came for 3 nights with our 2 children (3&6 years old) and discovered a green area within the city! The environment was perfect for families with young children as there is an indoor play room and outdoor small playground right in front of the area where we can have our meals... Therefore, we only ate dinner there as it was so much more convince to have the children playing while waiting for the appetizing and so tasty organic food served at the hotel than having to eat out! Lots of families did the same, and each evening was a very playful time with all the young children playing together! It was relaxing for us as we always had an eye on them from our table.

The breakfast was amazing, with pure fresh squeezed juices different every morning and homemade jam.

Interactions with waiters was a bit challenging in English, but the reception was fluent and everything worked out just fine.

The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable, with a bathroom even more basic. Don't go there for the rooms themselbves, rather for the atmosphere and child friendly aspect and the food of course. I would go back there without any hesitation if I am to visit Bangkok again.
