If you're looking for a nice place to stay in Bangkok, or searching for a Bangkok Boutique Hotel, there are so many choices that it may be hard for you to decide among them. If your focus is not big chain hotels, but smaller, charming, vintage, kids friendly or “green” hotels that offer unique decor, delicious breakfast and attentive services, as well as a good value, Phranakorn Nornlen is an option you should consider. We are a small hotel situated within the Old Bangkok district, near the Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha, Khaosan Road, China Town and the river shuttle stop at Thewet Pier.

Great hospitality

by PN guests :) on 08/31/12

Great hospitality in this quiet haven in Bangkok. The rooms are lovely decorated with colorful paintings, it has a nice breakfast area and great organic food. Some of the food comes from their own rooftop terrace!
Some people moan about the lack of hot water, but who needs a hot shower in Bangkok anyway. Lukewarm is just perfect! We did not have many bugs (mosquitos). We did see butterflies though, and little babyfrogs in their pond. For the few bugs they provide free and organic anti-mosquito creme.
Futhermore: we got 1 free laundry, we drank the best cappucino in Thailand, and there was a nice children playroom.
Pier 15 is closeby, and a hotel where you can use the pool for 200 THB as well.
We were in room 309, which is perfect with children as it has two adjoining bedrooms.
