Arty bohemian, clean, tranquil, relaxed and charming. A gem!

You know when you are the smug one in the group that knows 'this really great place thats totally different and brilliant' and you get everyone to go there and then they think 'wow, how did you find this place?' Well that is here!
I am travelling on my own with a 15 month old toddler. Everybody with a toddler knows that tehy dont want to sit and eat, they dont want to stay and be quiet....they want to play. So instead of sitting in a restaurant you can sit in the open seated area as your child safely plays in the specially designed childrens area. The inside one has books and toys and there is an outside area alongside with a sandpit, plastic paddling pool and wendy house.
On arrival we were given a welcome drink and vouchers for a half price massage, discounts at their gift shop where they sell hand made lotions and bits and pieces, a gift of herbal teabags and a free washing token to do our laundry. This is generous but add to that inclusive (very nice) organic breakfast and also tokens for COMPLIMENTARY LUNCH TOO! For those of you with bottle feeds..there is a water heater on the landing that is boiling all night so bottle feeds are EASY. So is a cheeky cup of tea! :)
The decor is vintage/shabby chic but so so interesting for adults and children alike. Our 'single' room (complete with cot!!) was beautiful and homely.
There is a roof area where you can get drinks at night overlooking the giant Budda and the Bangkok rooftops.
The staff were always friendly, always helpful and always interested in you and what you were doing and how you were. They helped plan excursions and offered tips.
There is a 7/11 on the corner so if you need essentials its easy.
There are plenty of cabs around but we walked to teh Thewet Pier (7 mins) and caught the boat to both the khaosan Road and to Central (Sathorn) pier for the Sky Train. Tip: they sell bags of bread at the pier so the kids can feed the fish, which are MASSIVE, whilst they wait for the boat. Oh, and catch the orange boat rather than the tourist boat. It does the same thing and is only 15 baht rather than 100!
Right near to the BnB is the 'live' market. Not one for the sqeamish. You can see anything from catfish to toads being sold here.
I have nothing bad to say about this place. It is a gem. It is arty bohemian, clean, tranquil, relaxed and charming. There are no fishfingers and chips on the menu but that, is why its even better! :)
