If you're looking for a nice place to stay in Bangkok, or searching for a Bangkok Boutique Hotel, there are so many choices that it may be hard for you to decide among them. If your focus is not big chain hotels, but smaller, charming, vintage, kids friendly or “green” hotels that offer unique decor, delicious breakfast and attentive services, as well as a good value, Phranakorn Nornlen is an option you should consider. We are a small hotel situated within the Old Bangkok district, near the Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha, Khaosan Road, China Town and the river shuttle stop at Thewet Pier.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the hotel was a good base for our sightseeing. The decor of the hotel was interesting although in some places was looking a little tired. Our room was clean but basically furnished and we never succeeded in getting anything other than luke warm water from the shower even after we had complained about it. However, in general the staff were very helpful and the hotel had a nice feel about it and was a pleasure to return to after a busy day of sightseeing and without doubt this is the main attraction to staying here. The food is good and well priced. I have only given this hotel 3 stars because of the basic facilities in the room and the problem with the shower but for general ambience it would warrant 5 stars.
